Ecoair has custom designed high output, high efficiency alternators with voltages ranging from 36V through 90V. These specialty alternators can be used in DC gensets and vehicles that have a special need for higher voltages. If the operating range of the system is relatively fixed and in the area of 6,000 to 8,000 alternator RPM’s, then the output can be as much as 5 to 15 kW.Eco-Tech alternators make use of permanent magnets, thereby optimizing alternator efficiency and power density. A high efficiency rating of 90% has been achieved. Where space is limited and high output is needed, the Eco-Tech alternators supply as much as two and one half times the output of conventional alternators.

Ecoair Corp. is developing its MaxSaver genset, a direct current, 7.5kW capacity system to charge batteries for industrial, household, or boat use. The design objective of the MaxSaver was to be highly fuel efficient.
The main components of the MaxSaver System are: a high efficiency Eco-Tech alternator to generate either 28V or 14V DC, a Yanmar 13.4 HP diesel engine, a battery bank, a smart controller and optional solar panels. The solar panels can supply electrical energy during the day that can be supplemented by the genset at whenever sunlight is not available and when the electrical load exceeds the capacity of the solar panels.Ecoair has conducted tests that verify as short as a one year payback due to fuel savings in applications where the usage is high. The high rate of return is due to the high efficiency of both the Eco-Tech alternator and the diesel engine and the use of the solar panels and a smart controller.
