Eco-Tech IP-325-IP Isolated Ground Alternator

Applications such as lawn treatment application vehicles, where recharging intervals during on the road operation are short, require a higher ampere output in order to recharge batteries quickly. The Eco-Tech 325A alternator in both J-180 and pad mount configurations (IJ-325-IP and IP-325-IP) were developed to satisfy such high demand needs. These models are also available in isolated ground and ignition protected models.

The 325A alternators have both high efficiency (80% at 1,800 RPM) and uniquely high output at low RPM’s (idle). Therefore using Eco-Tech 325A alternators results in increased fuel economy, longer battery life, and reduced waste heat.

The IP-325-IP conforms to the SAE specification, that is, it has a four-bolt pad mount with 4.25” center-to-center between the lengthwise mounting holes. Pad mount model alternators employ fixed mounts and make use of automatic belt tensioners. Some engine alternator brackets can accommodate six mounting bolts while the alternators use four. The Eco-Tech IP-325-IP is available with 5” instead of the standard 4.25” distance between mounting holes as a by request option. To check for clearance prior to installation, measure the distance from rear of old alternator pulley to the overall clearance length available for the Eco-Tech Alternator. The fit length required for Eco-Tech Alternator is 9”. The existing alternator pulley will interchange and Alternator belts will align properly.
